My Career Shift into Digital Marketing!
My journey into digital marketing started with an unexpected career shift.
After completing plus two, my initial plan was to pursue medicine. Like many students in Kerala, I spent a year preparing for the NEET entrance exam. During that period, I also began thinking seriously about what kind of career I truly wanted to build for the long term.
While exploring different fields, I came across digital marketing. At first, it was simply curiosity. I started learning about how businesses promote themselves online, how websites appear on the first page of Google, and how search engines influence the way people discover brands and services.
The more I explored, the more interesting it became.
I realized that digital marketing was not just about promotion. It involved strategy, analysis, creativity, and understanding how people search and interact online. That combination made the field exciting for me.
Eventually, I made a decision that changed my career path. Instead of continuing with the medical entrance route, I chose to study digital marketing and build my career in this industry.
As I went deeper into the field, one area stood out the most, search engine optimization (SEO). The idea of helping websites become more visible on search engines and connecting businesses with the right audience was something that truly interested me.
Today, that decision has shaped the direction of my career. What started as curiosity during a transition period has grown into a focused path in digital marketing, with a strong interest in helping businesses improve their visibility through SEO.
